A practical oriented course with special emphasis on coverage of wedding & events and news videography. The practical sessions are covered on Digital 3 CCD HD camera like Sony NX3. The sessions cover camera operations, shooting techniques, post processing of the videos, audio dubbing, use of mics, titling and editing in Adobe Premier Pro CC. It covers indoor and outdoor sessions.

Topics Covered

These are the various topics that would be covered as a part of the curriculum

  1. Introduction to videography, video camcorders and their types, parts and functions.
  2. Main controls of a video camera: Lens, controls of lens, focusing - Manual & Auto, Diaphragm setting - Manual & Auto.
  3. Lighting: setup of flat lighting for functions, porta light setup.
  4. White Balance: meaning of white balance, manual & auto white balance settings
  5. Shooting techniques like zooming in & out, panning, wide to tele shots
  6. Audio recording using XLR mic for interview purposes
  7. Post production
    •  Titling, Dubbing, adding background music, duplicating
    •  Video editing in Adobe Premier Pro CC
